Report a Calculator Error
Start your subject line with “Bug:”. To make a report actionable, include the page URL, the exact inputs you entered, the result you expected, and the result you actually got. We review every error report against the calculator's formula.
Suggest a New Calculator
Start your subject line with “Suggestion:”. Tell us what you're trying to calculate and, if you have one, the formula or standard it should follow.
General or Press Inquiries
Start your subject line with “General:”. This covers anything that isn't a bug report or a tool suggestion, including press and partnership questions.
Privacy Requests
Start your subject line with “Privacy:”. See our Privacy Policy for what data we do and don't hold — most calculator activity never reaches our servers at all, so there is often nothing to request.
We read every message that comes in. We're a small team, so we can't promise a specific reply time, but bug reports with a clear page URL and inputs are the fastest for us to act on. See our Methodology page for how a reported error turns into a corrected, re-dated page.
Before You Write
For most account or data questions, there's a quicker answer than waiting on a reply. Calculator inputs are processed entirely in your browser and are never sent to us or stored anywhere — see our Privacy Policy for the full explanation. If you're unsure whether a result is correct, our Methodology page explains the formula and sources behind every calculator category, which resolves many questions faster than emailing us directly.
What Happens After You Write
Every message is read by a person, not sorted by an autoresponder. Bug reports are triaged first: we reproduce the issue with the inputs you send, check the result against the calculator's underlying formula and cited standard, and — if a correction is warranted — publish the fix and update the page's “last reviewed” date so the change is visible and dated. Tool suggestions are logged and weighed against how many people are likely to need the same calculation and whether we can source a defensible formula for it, so not every suggestion becomes a page. One thing we can't do by email is give personalized financial, tax, medical, or engineering advice — our calculators are general-purpose estimates, and decisions with real financial or safety stakes belong with a licensed professional who can review your specific situation. For anything else, plain language and a link to the exact page you're asking about will always get you the fastest, most useful reply.
